Yes, you can always flash a new rom to fix the issue 
. But wait, here's a better solution:
Goto Settings - Connection and run USB to PC, enable/check "Ask me first about USB connection ...". Or set DisablePopUpUI value in the following registry to 0:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\USBtoPC] "DisablePopUpUI"=dword:0
